Meridian Cipher

How the daily chart works

Each UTC day opens five country marks (six with the Extra Mark upgrade). Read the parchment cipher, pick a country on the globe or from the list, and seal your guess. Score drops with centroid distance when you miss.

Reveal arc

After a sealed guess, a brass meridian grows from your pick toward the true country while the camera rides along. Use that beat to learn the miss, then move to the next mark.

Field tools

  • Continent Cipher — names the continent
  • Latitude Ink — hemisphere plus a coarse band drawn on the globe
  • Spotlight — lights three candidates; one is correct
  • Reshuffle — swaps in an alternate riddle for the same country
  • Second Seal — one miss keeps the round open
  • Wide Net — sets a score floor on distant misses
  • Skip Mark — forfeit the round for zero points

Tips

  • Burn Latitude Ink before Spotlight when the riddle feels coastal
  • Wide Net is cheap insurance when you are torn between far continents
  • Finish the expedition to bank ink for permanent chart-room upgrades
  • Progress saves in this browser for today's UTC date key

About this game

Meridian Cipher is a daily signal-room geography run. Each UTC day deals a set of country riddles. Read the parchment, pick a country on the globe or from the list, and seal your guess.

Score falls off with haversine distance between centroids when you miss. A brass meridian then grows toward the real mark while the camera rides along. Spend ink on tools that change the round: Continent Cipher, Latitude Ink, Spotlight, Reshuffle, Second Seal, Wide Net, and Skip. Finish the expedition to bank ink for permanent upgrades.
