Emberstack

How the forge works

Emberstack is a 4×4 merge puzzle with a blacksmith skin. Shove billets with the arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe. Matching values fuse into the next heat tier. Reach 2048 for the crown billet, then keep going if you want mythic stacks.

Objective

Merge tiles until you forge a 2048. Each merge scores points and drops cinders you can spend mid-run. Banked cinders buy permanent upgrades that change future runs.

Controls

• Arrow keys or WASD to shove the board
• Swipe on touch screens
• Tap a powerup, then tap tiles when the tool asks for a target
• Open Upgrades to spend banked cinders between (or after) runs

Powerups

• Quench — remove one tile from the board
• Rewind — undo the last shove or tool use
• Hot Drop — next spawn copies your highest billet (one tier hotter with White Heat)
• Flux — fuse two matching tiles that are not adjacent
• Hint — score the four shove directions and flash the best one
• Anchor — pin a tile for 3 moves so it will not slide or merge

Upgrades

• Kindling starts each run with a free Rewind
• Bellows makes about one in five spawns a 4
• Second Chance clears two lowest tiles once when you stall
• Cinder Hoard pays 25% more cinders on merges
• White Heat makes Hot Drop spawn one tier above your highest billet

Tips

• Park your hottest billet in a corner and build toward it
• Anchor a high tile before a risky shove if the board is crowded
• Flux is expensive, but it can finish a 1024→2048 when the pieces will not meet
• Progress and upgrades save in this browser
